IoT devices analysis for dummies
This small workshop aims to provide the attendees with key theory and practice to get started analyzing IoT devices. Approaching such devices often require interfacing with hardware, basic knowledge of serial protocols, reading data sheet and getting the right tools ready, just to name a few, which can seem overwhelming to a newcomer. The main task is to break that barrier and show you one can start their own research without the need of neither extensive knowledge nor expensive tools and lab.
Attendees will be introduce to:
- Some of the useful tools for interacting with hardware
- Get a high level understanding of what components are on a PCB
- Identifying individual components and reading data sheets
- Common interfaces and protocols (UART, SPI, JTAG) and how to communicate with them
- Extracting firmware and other data from EEPROMs
- Basic firmware analysis
Publishing in Post-Censorship-Era
In the last year Corporate social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, after consolidating their near monopoly status on public discourse in the west have embarked on a campaign to silence, shadowban and outright ban a number of independent media groups and personalities. The idea that corporations can deplatform voices at will with no accountability has taken hold, and no site is really safe for even domain names can be confiscated by the registrars. The workshop will cover the tools and methods on how to publish and setup censorship proof websites and services. Covering ipfs, zeronet and other simumular tools.
Price, of course, its Free, but you can donate if you want.

We are a non-profit Computer Security Association formed by many different people of all types of profiles. Our natural environment is labo and cacharreo. Here everyone has a place if it coincides with our ideas and philosophy about true "hacking". Our main difference is that we do not seek to do things for commercial purposes, but simply for sharing and fun, because we like and enjoy cooking.
That's why we decided to set FAQin Congress
The Faqin Congress
One with different, always irreverent, with good technical quality and very good vibes. No pictures, no cops, no cyber-bullshits, just friends hacking & beer.
Where does the money come from?
Usually donations, and annual membership fees.
We use it to buy the necessary things across the event. When it finish we publish the accounts.

How to do it?
We look for a place that we like for some reason and we give it to us for those days, we never pay for the rent of the premises, nor do we take care of the sale of the drinks. The deal is that they put the local drinks and we fill it and invite birra;). We always try to invite you to at least a barrel or two and some snacks.
Why is it in English?
We want it to be an international event, so that the talks are in English.
Can I help?
Yes, share your wonderful idea in a real interesting talk or donate to make the congress bigger next year! XD
